Tori White News!!!

Zest PR:

The Forces' New Sweetheart

Tori White

Sings at Battle of Britain Celebrations

To commemorate The Battle of Britain, stunning rising star Tori White will be flying into Bruntingthorpe Airfield in a 1942 Dakota plane on the 26th October, to perform her heart-warming and poignant new Poppy Appeal single, 'Please Remember'.

Decked out in a 1940s forces uniform, Midland's girl Tori will be transporting us back to Wartime Britain in remembrance of the first major battle to be fought entirely by our air force - a battle which symbolised the failure of Nazi Germany's ambition to destroy the British spirit.

Tori will take to the skies from Collingby in Yorkshire along with members of a BBC television crew, who will be filming the journey from the York base to the Midlands celebrations near Leicester. Tori will then be performing her new Poppy Appeal single at Bruntingthorpe RAF base for the largest of the commemorative ceremonies for The Battle of Britain.

It's not everyday an unknown, albeit tremendously talented singer, gets the opportunity to showcase themselves to the nation, but the beautiful and incredibly unique Tori White will also be performing "Please Remember" to an audience of millions at The Royal Albert Hall for The Festival of Remembrance on the 10th November.

Bruntingthorpe in Leicestershire is the home of the Cold War jet collection, the most famous being the Vulcan bomber which has recently been flown for the first time in 20 years – Tori's performance will take place in the hangar that has housed this symbol of British resilience for generations.

Tori White's new single "Please Remember" is released on the 29th October. All proceeds will be donated to the Poppy Appea

English Rose of Song Set for Trailblazing Career!

English Rose of Song Set for Trailblazing Career!

For her debut major performance, glamorous new popstress Tori White will perform live to the nation on the BBC at the The Royal Albert Hall on November 10th in front of the Queen as well as other royal and very special guests.

Tori is a performer of a revered musical standing set to take Victoria Hart’s place, (the teenager whom George Clooney recently helped achieve a multi-million pound record deal) as the latest 'Vocaltech' music academy graduate to be singled out for excellence.

Tori went for an audition in January 2006 to enroll for the Vocal diploma course - after hearing her sing she was instantly elevated to the Master Diploma by course tutors. She was the youngest of five vocalist selected to undertake the Master Diploma by 5 years, and achieved the highest grades for her six showcases.

It was Tori's unique vocal delivery that first caught the attention of producer legend Jim Dooley. Front man of one of the world's most successful bands 'The Dooleys', Jim’s involvement happened upon a chance meeting with Tori’s father at a hotel. Jim said:

"He mentioned his daughter was a singer and gave me her demo, I was blown away and agreed to be her executive producer. I played her music to a number of leading figures - including Dan Saxon and Mark James, the producers behind Simply Red. They knew she was an amazing talent and we started working on an incredible debut album, now we are about to unleash Britain's biggest new pop star in decades”.

BBC producers were so moved with one of Tori's tracks that it was selected for this year's Festival of Remembrance - It has subsequently been chosen as the official record for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal 2007.

Tori's impending release has created a massive stir, and with such anticipation from industry and public alike, she bares a weight of expectation and is keen to live up to the hype. With her a vibrant blend of soulful ballads, power-pop and R'n'B hooks she is sure to do just that. Her heartfelt and meaningful songs are appealable to a wide-spanning mainstream audience and fans of all ages - and what greater platform could there be to officially launch this perpetually rising star than The Royal Albert Hall?
