A reworked version of her 2007 album, ‘Ms. Kelly’ is a soulful, mature R&B record which shares more in common with divas such as Mary J.Blige and Aretha Franklin than some of her poppier contemporaries, and features collaborations with rapper Eve and Travis McCoy of Gym Class Heroes, as well as the single ‘Daylight’.

Neil Diamond Hits The Gold Standard (again)!
This week, Mbop Megastore is proud to have the latest release by the legendary Neil Diamond, 'Home Before Dark'. Produced once again by the legendary Rick Rubin, who successfully revived the career of Johnny Cash with his 'American Recordings' series, 'Home Before Dark' is the follow-up to Diamond's 2007 album '12 Songs', which went in at number five in the UK charts, and at number four in the US Billboard chart. It sold 200,000 in the UK and was Diamond's highest-charting debut to date.
Once again, the album is a tougher, rawer listen than his previous work, but this time the bare emotional balladry is augmented by sweeping orchestration, making for a warmer sound. An all-star cast features on the album, including Dixie Chick Natalie Maines, legendary alt-rock guitarist Matt Sweeney and Tom Petty players Benmont Trench & Mike Campbell, which just gives you an inkling of the sheer musicality that is on offer here.
After four decades, one hundred and twenty-five million worldwide record sales, three dozen Top Forty hits, a Grammy and a Golden Globe, 'Home Before Dark' is proof positive that Neil Diamond is just getting started.
