Bat For Lashes (real name Natasha Khan) is a British singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and visual artist. Khan was born to a Pakistani father and English mother on 25 October 1979. Her music is compared with Bjork, PJ Harvey, Tori Amos, Kate Bush an Fiona Apple. Bat For Lashes success includes the nomination for Mercury Prize 2007, ASCAP Vanguard Award, nominations for ‘Best British Breakthrough’ and ‘Best British Female’ for the Brit Awards 2008 and many others.

Lady Sovereign, is an English rapper and is unique as the only white female artist in the primarily black British grime scene.
